January 3 – Blessed

Blessed , or the hebrew word Barak, means to praise, or salute.  Hidden in this word are a few deeper ideas… the privelege of honoring and blessing others.  Above everyone Jesus is most blessed.  He came to us, served us, died for us, bearing our penalty, and has risen from the dead to stand forever as the sovereign.  He blesses us with his love, his grace, and he with holds due judgement by giving us mercy.  May his name forever be Blessed.
